The Amici Quartet from the Cleveland Orchestra to play a benefit concert for Family Promise of Lorain County
On Sunday afternoon, February 19, 2012 at 3:00 p.m., the Amici String Quartet from the Cleveland Orchestra will perform at the First Church United Church of Christ, corner of Main and Lorain streets in Oberlin, Ohio.
The quartet's musicians, all members of the Cleveland Orchestra, include violinists Miho Hashizume and Takako Masame; Lynne Ramsey, viola, and Ralph Curry, violoncello.
The program will feature an hour of beautiful quartet music including works by Schubert, Shostakovich and Mendelssohn,
The concert is free and open to the public. Donations to benefit Family Promise of Lorain County and the Interfaith Hospitality Network will be invited. Anyone wishing to be a major donor and join the $179 Club before the concert will be acknowledged in the concert program and invited to an appreciation event March 19. After the February 19th concert a Meet-the-Artists reception, provided by the Rev. Alana Kelley, Noreen Romano and Molly Johnson, will follow in the First Church Fellowship Hall.
